The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome to the Joe Elliott show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. We have sixty minutes of fantastic music for you tonight. Starting off with this beauty. Absolutely brand new music from Last In Line."

Last In Line

"Released on Friday. So it is really hot off the press. That is Last In Line from the album Heavy Crown and a song called I Am Revolution."

Queen

"This week has found me digging deep into the Queen catalogue, but ignoring the first four albums which I've kind of played to death and I know them inside out. But I've been listening to the mid period Queen if you like. The late 70s into the mid 80s. And one album that I really haven't played for a while and it's just a great record, is The Game and there from the album The Game, we just heard a song called Rock It brackets Prime Jive, close brackets."

Mott The Hoople/Dale 'Buffin' Griffin

"Some nice reports were posted this week on the funeral of Dale 'Buffin' Griffin the drummer from Mott The Hoople who died a couple of weeks ago. He was buried earlier this week. Well attended by friends and family and of course former band mates. People like Mick Ralphs and Verden Allen were in attendance and these guys have known Dale Griffin for almost 50 years. So it was a wonderful send off and what intrigued me was that the final song played at the funeral was that song that we just heard there by The Kinks. A song called Days. Obviously one of Dale Griffin's favourite songs."

Show Outro

"And that my friends is it for this week. A pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next week at the same time."

"Till then gonna leave you with a little bit of noise New York style. And I love this band to death. They are the New York Dolls and from their debut album back in 1973 this is Trash. Until next week see ya!."
