On This Day in Def Leppard History - 21st December, the following concerts and events took place. Including Rick Allen's first show with the band in Rotherham, England 38 years ago on this day in 1978.

Rick had joined the band on 27th November following the recording of 'The Def Leppard EP' with guest drummer Frank Noon.

Also on this day in 1988 the 'Rocket' master tape was involved in the Lockerbie bombing over Scotland. The tape travelling in the cargo hold of Pan Am flight 103 was apparently found embedded in a tree up to six months later.

On this day in 2015 Phil Collen's Delta Deep band played a second intimate show in London, England. A performance featuring Phil with singer Debbi Blackwell-Cook.
