The show took place at the 20,000+ capacity Gexa Energy Pavilion.

The 18th show the band have played in Dallas and 12th time at this venue.

The first visit here took place in June 1980 at the Reunion Arena as support to Ted Nugent on their first American tour.

They returned as support to Blackfoot in November 1981 at the Wintergarden Theatre.

The first headline show here took place at the Reunion Arena in May 1983 on the Pyromania tour.

An In The Round show at the same venue was played in December 1987 on the Hysteria tour followed up in August 1988 with their first show at this venue. Then known as the Coca-Cola Starplex Amphitheatre.

Another In The Round show at Reunion Arena followed in February 1993 on the Adrenalize tour with another Starplex show in September 1993 towards the end of the tour.

A run of 8 shows here then took place between August 1996 and August 2011 with shows played in 2000, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009.

The 2012 show on the second Rock Of Ages tour took place indoors at the American Airlines Center. Their first indoor show in the city since the 19th February 1993 show at Reunion Arena.

The last two shows in July 2014 and August 2015 saw them return to Gexa Energy Pavilion. First played under this name in August 2011.

Vivian celebrates his 54th Birthday today and Joe got the crowd to sing to him during his usual pre-Armageddon It introduction.

Like last year, this was also another very hot show. Or in Joe's words they were - "f**king baking" on stage.

Joe Elliott - Phil Collen/Dangerous Intro

"Thank you and good evening Dallas, Texas. How are ya?. Let's have a look at you. Put some lights on the back. Good to see you all. Nice to be here. Thanks for coming. Thanks for having us. (To Phil) Alright?. Hot?. F**king baking. This is f**king baking. It is. Feel free to disrobe if you like. What are you gonna get tonight?. Well, a bit of everything I suppose. You're gonna get some old. Some new. Some borrowed and nothing blue whatsoever. This here is, if you don't know already, Mr. Phil Collen. Here to intro one of our more recent compositions from the latest album. This one's called Dangerous."

Joe Elliott - Pre=Rock On Speech

"Thank you. Thank you very much. This truly is amazing for us really because this year marks 36 years since we first played Dallas, Texas. Back in 1980 and we were third on the bill to the Scorpions and Ted Nugent. It wasn't in this venue I don't think but it was a f**king long time ago. 36 years and look at ya!."

"Of course we can trace it back even further than that. Let's go back say to the summer of 1977. Who was alive in the summer of '77?. Who wasn't alive?. Wow, there's almost more of you. Which is great because many, many years ago I went to see the Rolling Stones play. And I saw this guy that had obviously been a fan since the 60s. And then his son and his son. All singing Jumpin' Jack Flash. And I though f**kin' A. I hope that happens to us one day. Because new generations of rock fans coming through is what we all need. Not just us, every band in the world needs it. It keeps this thing that we like to call rock and roll alive and well with a f**king strong heartbeat. We need that. Right?."

"Back in that summer of 1977, when we were just kids in England. I met a 16 year old kid for the very first time. He came round to my Mum and Dad's house to have a look at my rather large...record collection. You filthy mind, you. And you know we got talking and we realised that we had a lot in common because in the summer of '77 in the UK there was a lot of great stuff happening. There was band's like The Ramones and The Clash and the Sex Pistols and Blondie. All that stuff and on the other side there was these bands really inspiring us/ Bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, U.F.O., Queen and AC/DC. And we saw this and we said in a round about way. What do you think about putting a band together and seeing what happens."

"Well, 39 years later. I can honestly say with my hand on my heart. That that 16 year old kid I met for the first time, back in the summer of '77, is still today my best mate. Ladies and Gentleman Mr. Rick Savage."

Joe Elliott - End Of Show Speech

"Dallas, Texas. Thanks for coming. Thanks for having us. Thanks for being here. We'll see you next time. Goodnight."
