The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome to the Joe Elliott show once again here on the always wonderful Planet Rock. We have sixty minutes of what I consider wonderful music. I'm sure there's something for everyone mixed in amongst all this hour of rock that we are about to indulge in. Starting off with Muse."

Cheap Trick

"And before that brand new Cheap Trick from their album Bang, Zoom, Crazy...Hello. We heard The Sun Never Sets."

T. Rex

"So from my most recent acquisition to the first album I ever owned. This T. Rex."

"And before that from Electric Warrior. The first album I ever owned. It wasn't the first album I ever bought. The first album I ever bought was Every Picture Tells A Story by Rod Stewart for two pounds and 11 pence. But that album Electric Warrior by T. Rex and the first album I ever owned because it was given to me as a gift when I was 11 years old and it's still a great record. The song that we just heard The Motivator."

Status Quo

"Along with the new Cheap Trick album I picked up this week I also picked up the deluxe edition of the Status Quo classic On The Level. So I think it's about time we got down, down deeper and down with the mighty Quo."

Show Outro

"I've been doing a lot of press this week setting up the upcoming US tour which starts in about just under a month I think it is. And I was talking to the mighty Coop. Alice Cooper had me on his Nights With Alice Cooper show. I had a really nice chat with him. He's such a wonderful guy. So I thought I have to play some Coop this week. So there you go. From the album Killer that is the Alice Cooper band from way back in 1971 with You Drive Me Nervous. And before that Status Quo from the album On the Level. Just recently re-released as a double with loads of bonus material. We heard the single edit version of Down Down."

"And that my friends is about it for this week. It's been a pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next week god willing at the same time."

"Until then I'm gonna leave you with KISS or should I say one quarter of. Back in 1978 all four members of KISS released simultaneous solo albums on the same day. And in my humble opinion the best of the lot by far was Mr. Paul Stanley's. So from the Paul Stanley solo album of 1978 this is Wouldn't You Like To Know Me. Until next week see ya!."
