Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen sang guest vocals for two different bands in the 1990s and 2000s and audio is available.

Rick sang lead vocals for the song 'We Belong' on the newly released self titled Def Leppard album.

As you know if you saw the old solo discography section (a few years back) he has previously sung with two different artists before.

Since that old section was deleted in a redesign these two songs have now become available on streaming sites.

Before this there were only 30 second clips available on Amazon.

Sleeze Beez - The Year Of Living Dangerously

In around 1990-1992 Rick sang background vocals for the Dutch melodic rock band Sleeze Beez.

He is shown in the above photo with two members of the band Andrew Elt and Jan Koster.

He sang guest backing vocals on the song 'The Year Of Living Dangerously'. The song was included on their 1994 CD single called 'Scream' and labelled as a 'Lost Track'.

The sleeve contained this message - "Recorded at Bullet Sound Studio's fall 1992 with lots of "Sleeze Leppards" hanging round and the "Def Beez" on back ups."

The reason Rick worked with the band is that they were managed at the time by his older brother Robert who is now the main manager for Taylor Swift.

Ampage - So What

The other guest appearance is slightly more interesting as he comes the closest to singing full lead vocals - before the new Lep album was released.

In 2001 the band Ampage, who Rick was briefly a member of, released the album 'Falling Higher'.

Rick sang lead vocals along with many other guests singing different lines on the song 'So What'.

It "seems" he is the one singing 'So What' throughout the song. John Taylor of Duran Duran also has some lines.

Rick played drums on at least 4 songs on the album.

Listen to both songs below and another song called 'If I Knew Then' with Rick on drums.

Note - You'll need to be logged in to Spotify to be able to stream them.

Rick celebrates his 52nd birthday today whilst the band are on a break from the 2015 tour.

Mark Mason Quote 2010

"There is a great song called ''So What" that is on the Falling Higher album that features me, Rick, John from Dramarama and John Taylor from Duran Duran all sharing the lead vocals."

Andrew Elt - Interview Quote 2004

Rick Allen? - "Really nice guy. Rick is a great drummer, and an inspiration for anyone who needs to overcome a tragedy like he had."
