Def Leppard recorded a session for the BBC in October 1979 and it is available to listen to again.
The band went to Maida Vale Studios in North London to record one of many sessions for the BBC.
BBC 6 Music re-broadcast the session as part of their Live Music Hour on 14th October.
The four tracks were originally broadcast on 3rd October 1979.
The session featured three songs that would end up on the debut album.
Also included is a great version of 'Good Morning Freedom', the eventual B Side of 'Hello America'.
One thing of interest is that this session was not a live broadcast and you can hear that they did many extra overdubs. The difference between these recordings and the ones on the 'On Through The Night' album is really noticeable.
The line up at this time (obviously) featured Steve Clark and Pete Willis.
