Def Leppard's new self titled studio album has entered the Swiss album chart at Number 2.
The album was released on 30th October around the world on the new Friday music release date.
This album has entered the chart dated 8th November at Number 2.
This is the highest debut for the album on a main album chart anywhere in the world.
The last studio album 'Songs From The Sparkle Lounge' reached Number 26 here in 2008.
'Mirrorball' reached Number 51 and 'VIVA! Hysteria' only made it to 83 in 2013.
2002's 'X/Ten' album also had its highest chart entry in Switzerland when it debuted at Number 9. The only recorded Top 10 for that album.
Four other albums also made it into the Swiss Top 10 - Hysteria (1), Adrenalize (1), Retro-Active (7) and Vault (7).
In other European news the album has debuted at Number 18 in Austria.
Their chart is dated 13th November - not yet fully published.
