Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott has been interviewed by Czech magazine Muzikus and talked about the new album.

Joe talked to the magazine about the 2015 studio album, its release plans/style, his recent musical tastes, his guitar playing, Vivian's health, the tragedies the band have overcome and their 2015 visit to the country.

You may be somewhat amused by the way Google has 'translated' this interview - which was conducted before the start of the current tour.

The band will visit the Czech republic for two shows later this month in Ostrava on 22nd May and Prague on 23rd May.

The first time in this country since a festival show in Vizovice in July 2008 on the Songs From The Sparkle Lounge tour.

Muzikus - Joe Elliott Interview Quotes (Translated)

Style Of The Album

"It will be mainly a proper rock album. Bands like Def Leppard have over the years developed a distinctive sound, which again are kept, and longtime fans will recognize him immediately. On the other hand does not always the same as in the case of AC / DC. In our situation we can not afford to experiment with ballads, the slower things, synthesizers and piano, which our Australian idols can not. We unpack for you rock a bomb, but we can be gentle. We did not upload more Love Bites, but very happy to work with slower songs."

Release Plans?

"No, not yet, but the album is already recorded. We started doing it about a year ago and in February we started recording. Our original intention was that we released it ourselves, but the number of candidates and the attractiveness of their bids convinced us. Just have a choice, but we do not want to rush anything."
