The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome once again to The Joe Elliott show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. Sixty minutes of wonderful music coming your way. Hopefully something for everybody. Starting off with this crowd. they're wonderful, they're from Wakefield. They are Be Bop Deluxe."

Boss Volenti

"Now here's a jaunty little number by an Irish band you've possibly never heard of. they mixed their album at Joe's Garage back in 2006. Ronan McHugh, Leppard's co-producer, did the work. The band featured on drums Graham Hopkins, best known for his work with Therapy?. Check this out. This is Boss Volenti."

Nils Lofgren

"Have you ever seen a grown man trampolining on stage whilst playing guitar solos? Well I have back in 1978 I believe it was at the Sheffield City Hall and that gentlemen was Nils Lofgren. That is the title track from the album he was promoting on that particular tour a song called Cry Tough."

Show Outro

"Well seeing as the Def Leppard tour starts in Canada on the 15th April and it doesn't finish until at least the 20th of December. That is something that we will no doubt experience over this year. It is Hotel Illness. The band the Black Crowes from an album called The Southern Harmony And Musical Companion. And before that featuring the fantastic guitar work of Mr. Peter Green we heard the original Fleetwood Mac with Oh Well, Part 1."

"And that my friends brings this weeks to an end, been a pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next week at the same time. Until then let's hussle some headlines with one of the best art pop bands to come out of Great Britain ever. Yes I am talking about 10CC from their debut album back in 1972 this is indeed Headline Hustler. Until next week see ya!."
