Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott was interviewed by Lisa Berigan of Big 100.3 radio and the full audio is available.

Joe talked about the 2015 studio album, playing new songs on the US tour, his favourite live songs, touring with Tesla/Styx, The Art Of McCartney tribute album, learning to play guitar/sing, would he'd do if he wasn't in the band, the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, the success of 80s bands like Lep/Bon Jovi and who he'd like to work with.

Joe suggests the album won't be released until after the US tour - referred to as "the tour".

Lisa Berigan Morning Show - Joe Elliott Interview Quotes

2015 Studio Album

"Yeah, we have indeed been working on a new album. In fact, as I'm sat here talking to you we are still chiselling away at it downstairs. But I think we're just about done now. Most of the stuff is recorded minus maybe the odd little bit here and there. But it's pretty much finished."

Release Date/Playing New Songs On Tour

"As for playing new stuff on the tour. The album's not coming out until after the tour is over. So I don't think we're gonna play any new stuff on this particular tour. Purely because we don't want inferior versions of it knocking around on YouTube before the album is out."

2015 Setlist

"The thing is when we do a set. We don't necessarily always do the same set every night. They'll be a core skeleton kind of setlist. And they'll be two or three floaters come in and out you know. We change like for like sometimes. So certain songs will come and go. What we will do on this tour is make sure that we play some stuff that we didn't play last year when we were out with KISS. Just so that it's not exactly the same. We'll be pulling in I should say new/old songs if you like. You know old/newies or whatever you want to call them. Songs that you know we don't always play every time. So we are gonna throw a few surprises in and it'll not necessarily be every night. So we like to keep the set fresh for ourselves if nothing else."
