Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott was interviewed by Buddy Wiley of 104.5 KRXO radio yesterday and talked about his excitement for the new album.
Joe talked about the Oklahoma City show, 2015 US tour, 2015 studio album, the Hysteria On The High Seas Cruise, 2015 studio album, the Down 'n' Outz - live DVD/third album and working with Emm Gryner.

2015 Studio Album
"Yes that is correct. We are actually mixing it as I speak to you our sound guru Mr. Ronan McHugh is back in my studio in Dublin, Ireland mixing the album. It's pretty much all recorded but there's a guitar solo here and there to be done on it but pretty much it's done you know. The odd harmony vocal that's not been finished."
"But yeah it will be out later this year. Great record. I really can't wait for people to hear it because I'm really proud of the fact that this record that we've made, it's a really exciting piece of rock and roll. It's a great album. It's been a long time in the making. Obviously it's been 2008 since we've had an album out and 2011 since we released any new music at all. So you know it is kind of about time. But we were just - we just went into a big flow mode when we started working on this record last year. We expected when we got together to you know maybe do two or three new songs and we came out of that session last February with 12 songs."
"And then we got back together just before the KISS tour and did another three. It's like where are all these songs coming from you know. It was quite astonishing really. So it was exciting to be able to BE that excited about making a record all these years after we'd made the first album and you think you might get a bit blase. But we were like kids in a candy store sitting around playing all this new music to each other and going 'that's a great song, let's do that one' and de de de de de - and so yeah, it's with much anticipation I hope the album will be out later this year."
Emm Gryner
"But I'm also working on some new music with a girl called Emm Gryner. She's a Canadian songstress - wonderful talent. And me and her are doing a kind of a Plant/Krauss type record if you like but it's not country it's more kind of Bowie-ish, Glam rock kind of Hunky Dory era Bowie. Very, Very different to anything Leppard does."
