On This Day in Def Leppard History - 4th June, the following concerts and events took place. Including the release of the re-recorded versions of Pour Some Sugar On Me and Rock Of Ages on this day in 2012.
These new versions were released as digital downloads via iTunes/Amazon (along with the 1988 PSSOM video). They were recorded due to the dispute with Universal records and to capitalise on the 'Rock Of Ages' movie release.
Also on this day in 1999 the band performed a live version of Promises on UK Channel 4 TV show TFI Friday. Many UK fans heard the song for the very first time via this appearance (including me) which took place 10 days before the 'Euphoria' album was released. In a strange move by the record company the single itself didn't appear until 12th July.
Today the band continue the European leg of the 2015 world tour in Solvesborg, Sweden at the Sweden Rock Festival. Follow the build up to the show on the Live Blog with Setlist/Photo Updates from show #23.
