Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen has been interviewed by WRFX 99.7 The Fox radio and commented on the new self titled studio album.
Phil talked about Delta Deep, his guitar playing, band longevity, the new studio album, the 2016 Hysteria On The High Seas cruise and working out.

Self-Titled Def Leppard Album
"Case in point the new Def Leppard album, that'll be out in October, is probably the best thing we've done since Hysteria. It's so cool. It's so diverse. That diversity comes from the people in the band being diverse but coming together and still doing Def Leppard albums."
Unique Sound
"It really has. It's very diverse. You know one song we've - probably got the hardest, loudest guitars we've ever done on a Def Leppard song on a couple of the tracks and then all of a sudden a song will sound like Top 40 and then something will be a bit punk infused. You know there's so much going on and I think when we started doing it you know we didn't have any restrictions. So that's really what made it very special and the reasons we did it."
"You know it wasn't for anyone else it was for us. You know usually a record company or an executive are telling you this or the fans want you to do a certain thing and this actually wasn't for anyone else but ourselves. So that also made it very much special and fun. You know it was actually the right reasons why you're in a band and like I said in the first place it's to do your thing and get out there and hopefully people like it. So that's what we did."
