Def Leppard played show 28 of the 2015 World Tour last night in Birmingham, AL with 17 songs performed.

The show took place at the Oak Mountain Amphitheatre.

This was the bands first show in Birmingham since 2nd August 2008 on the Songs From The Sparkle Lounge tour.

Vivian Campbell had been expected to return to the stage having missed three shows but sadly flight delays meant he couldn't make the concert.

Rick Allen broke the news on facebook before show time but also said he hoped he would be back tonight. This was later confirmed by Vivian himself on facebook when he explained what had happened.

Trixter guitarist Steve Brown filled in for the fourth show in a row.

'Let It Go' returned to the set but 'Promises' was left out making it a 17 song show.

Joe played a short snippet of 'Sweet Home Alabama' before 'Two Steps Behind'. He also played this at the last Birmingham, AL show in 2008. A tradition started back on the 2002/2003 X/Ten tour.

As with previous shows it rained for much of the show with Joe making note of the towels placed on stage. The show opened with 'Disintegrate' but no curtain was used. The band came on as the intro ended. The stage area was smaller at this venue so the Thrust was much shorter than usual and only extended out to the front row of seats.

And I did mention just now that there's a lot of people out there tonight. On a Saturday night in Birmingham, Alabama."
