Hysteria 1988.

On This Day in Def Leppard History - 23rd July, the following concerts and events took place. Including the Hysteria album reaching number one on the US Billboard Top 200 chart on this day in 1988.

The album took 49 weeks to reach the top spot having been released on 3rd August 1987. It replaced Van Halen's 'OU812' at number one and would go on to spend 6 weeks there on 3 separate occasions.
