Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen has been interviewed by 102.9 The Whale radio and once more confirmed the new album title.
Phil talked about the 2015 US tour with Styx/Tesla, the touring industry, the Summer Tour 2014 with KISS, 2015 Def Leppard studio album, booking dates in 2016, Delta Deep, his autobiography, his health and going back to Las Vegas.
Phil confirms what everybody already now knows - that the album is called DEF LEPPARD. As first revealed in and talks a bout the 2016 touring plans.

The Self-Titled DEF LEPPARD Album
"Coming out in October. It's called Def Leppard. You know we went in with a different motivation where we actually didn't think we were gonna do an album. We actually went in to do an EP or a single and came out with 12 songs. Normally there's a record company executive or a label or fans or everyone's pressuring you to do something. In this case there was absolutely no pressure and because of that I think we've done our best work since Hysteria. I really do."
"It's really diverse sounding. One minute it's you know the heaviest guitars we've ever done in our career on some of the songs. And then the most vocals - we went overboard on some of the songs we were tracking up the vocals. Multi tracking them and then a song would sound like it would belong on a Top 40 station. We didn't have any restrictions or any kind of can't go there because it's like genre specific and you can't do this because of that. We had none of those limitations whatsoever and I think it's made for such a great album and it flowed. It's just wonderful. You know everyone's really performing well on it as well so it's just great."
New Songs Live/2016 Touring
"I think it's gonna go on for an even longer one - that's what's gonna happen. Unfortunately and fortunately. We don't want to reveal anything until the album comes out. It comes out in October so it just means we've gotta come back next year as well and kind of keep the tour going. I mean they're already booking dates into next year already. You know we have - the album comes out and I think we go to Japan. So they'll get the new album first and then England. And then it's - we've got this cruise and then back to North America again. So it'll be just like one long big tour. Which is great you know."
