Def Leppard members Rick Allen and Rick Savage were interviewed by Super Channel TV in September 1987 and video footage is available.

Super Channel was a UK/European satellite TV channel that started in 1987 and broadcast mainly music shows.

Some of Lep's European appearances were shown on the channel including Countdown from Holland. This interview was part of a show called Music Box.

Rick and Sav were interviewed when the band played their three night sold out run at Hammersmith Odeon. The shows took place on 7th/8th/9th September with the last night featuring a guest appearance by Brian May of Queen. The interview was taped the day after on 10th September.

In the interview you can view below they talked about the London after party, living in Dublin, their friendship with Spandau Ballet, the making of the 'Hysteria' album, Jim Steinman, Mutt Lange, Brian May's guest appearance, Rick's accident and recovery, the album release, UK press and 'Hysteria' entering the UK chart at Number 1. They are interviewed on their own and together. The promo videos for Photograph/Women/Animal are shown between interview segments.

Watch the videos in the playlist below - 34mins in all. Many thanks once again to Bille for posting these on YT.

Two other videos of Joe and Rick on Countdown in Holland are also included. One featuring host Adam Curry who would leave to join MTV in America in 1988. The other is taken from Much Music but shown on Countdown before they broadcast the 'Love Bites' performance.
