Def Leppard performed a playback version of Pour Some Sugar On Me at the 198 Brit Awards and rare footage is available.
The band were nominated for the Best British Band award (for the second year running) at the ceremony which took place at the Royal Albert Hall.
They lost out to UK pop band Erasure having lost out to a similar act the year before - Pet Shop Boys.
This show became infamous for the terrible presenting duo of Mick Fleetwood and Samantha Fox. It was also the first year the ceremony was shown live on BBC TV.
Is is a notable performance in the history of the band was it was the second-to-last ever appearance by Steve Clark in the UK.
