Nikki - Vivian Campbell Interview Quotes

Joining Def Leppard In 1992/Adrenalize Tour

"It was a very exciting time for me obviously to join the band. I was a big Def Leppard fan from day one. Like way, way before the band even became famous I was very familiar with them. So it was really a thrill and I'd known Joe Elliott socially. Joe lives in Dublin for decades and I'm Irish myself so I would have dinner with Joe. Grab a pint with him every now and again. So they're lovely, lovely guys you know. It's nice to really have found a home. A band that's very, very cohesive and very family oriented you know. We really do look out for each other. And a very hard working and creative band too."

"So it was thrilling back then. I joined and we did a 247 date tour around the world over a year and a half. All in a years work."

Working With Lou Gramm

"Lou is a lovely, lovely guy. One of the nicest people I've ever met in the industry. And a very, very natural talent. Not the kind of guy - he doesn't need to warm up or whatever. Lou could sing the phonebook first thing in the morning. You know so he's just a tremendous singer and a great writer too. He's got a great sense of melody. And lovely, lovely person. I really enjoyed working with Lou and I learnt a lot of insights into the business from him also."
