Nikki - Vivian Campbell Interview Quotes

Touring In 2013/2014

"It was easier to do it than to not do it you know. And that's how I kind of sold it to my band mates. They were concerned about my health and they told me on the eve of the first show of the tour. They said look you don't have to do this. You can stay home, we'll get a ringer in to cover for you. You know look after your health. But looking after my health, not the bigger part of it, but a very big part of the process for me was the mental side of the equation you know. And to do that I need to do my work. You know I can't imagine anything worse than sitting home feeling sorry for myself."

Los Angeles Show

"Exactly that's not how I roll. So it wasn't easy. There were a couple of shows - the LA show in particular. We played the LA Forum on I think it was July 9th last summer and I literally. I came from the hospital after doing a couple of days of chemo. And I don't even really remember the show. I've no idea how I got through that one. But that was the lowest point. That was the low ebb and other than that. You know I was sick for a few days afterwards. There were a couple of shows where it was really, really warm and I'd come off and I'd have to puke you know. But I was fortunate that I didn't have to do it on stage. So you know I got through it. It was fine. Like I said I'd rather that I did it than I didn't you know."
