Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott appeared on the HuffPost Live show last night for a live interview and videos are available.

Joe was interviewed live from their New York City studios and said the band would turn down the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame should they be inducted in the future. Of course it's not the first time band members have said they don't really care about the RARHOF. Both Joe and Phil have stated many times in recent radio interviews that it doesn't mean much to them.

Joe talked about success, the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, the 2015 studio album, not having released many albums, not doing 15 month tours any more, rock and roll myths, which new bands he listens to, T. Rex, the stories about Grunge affecting bands like Lep, the band's recent resurgence in popularity, working with Taylor Swift, U2's Apple deal, and funny stories from the KISS tour.

HuffPost Live - Joe Elliott Interview Quotes

Do you really not care at all about the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame?

"Yeah so should - I could name you a hundred other artists more important than us that aren't in there."

"I also did one of the first ever fund raisers [1989 with Ian Hunter] to actually help build the place out in Cleveland - but for some reason that doesn't count for anything you know, But there you go, that's life."

"It doesn't bother me at all. It doesn't bother any of us. In fact, we've kind of all decided that even if we get asked we're just gonna, how can I put this?, politely refuse. Like the Sex Pistols did."

"Unless there was some kind of online campaign by our fans 'cause they were annoyed with us. But my point is it's nothing to do with the fans. It's the - because they don't get - they get like six percent of the vote or something. It's the people that don't like what we do that decide - well we're not R.E.M.. We're not Springsteen, U2, Louden Wainwright, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen etc. You know if it's us or Bon Jovi or Motley Crue and all that kind of stuff they don't believe. They just don't believe we belong so I don't necessarily wanna be in that particular club anyway so. I never joined a band so I could get into the hall of fame. I joined a band because I just wanted to do what Marc Bolan and David Bowie were doing on Top Of The Pops. Wear silly clothes and sing silly songs."
