Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen was interviewed yesterday by Bo And Jim of Dallas radio and mentioned the new album.

Phil talked about playing in Sturgis, the 2015 studio album, Delta Deep, Deep Purple, Vivian's health, the 2016 cruise, the first record he bought, postponing the Las Vegas residency again and Def Leppard's touring plans for 2016.

He kind of confirms the album release date he mentioned last month. Which means there may be 76 days until it's release (if you can count).

The interview was conducted backstage at the Sturgis Rally although the DJs are from Dallas.

Many thanks to Angie for the link.

In the last hour or so Vivian responded to a fan question of Facebook about the album and single releases.

Bo And Jim - Phil Collen Interview Quotes

2015 "Def Leppard" - Self-Titled Album

"Our new album - some of the stuff I'm doing a hundred voices - just me that is. A hundred vocals. Three part harmony. I do 30 odd of one. 30 of another one and - I know you have to get it absolutely precise. It sterilises it a little bit but then you get this huge Def Leppard sound."

The New Album Comes Out In October?

"Yeah the Def Leppard one. We're just - it's just being mixed right now while we're on tour because Ronan who does our out front sound, he's producing the album. And he's done the last four albums. So it's the best thing since Hysteria. Without a doubt, hands down."

"No' I'm deadly serious. I've gotta tell you this funny story. We actually in this day and age people go do we have to record an album, it cost so much and all of this. Let's just do a single which is exactly what we did. We came out with 12 songs because we didn't - there was no pressure. There was no record company exec or anything. We were like, Oh!. We just had these ideas and we flowed so therefore it came out a different way. Didn't stop. Yeah it was great."

Album Release Date

"...our album comes out the week after we finish the American tour."

Vivian Campbell - 8th August Facebook Quote

"Single in Sept. Album in October."
