Def Leppard fan Jacqueline Koszuta Sandel recently created a Campbell Tough T-Shirt and the story was mentioned on Syracuse radio.

Another fan named Heather was photographed with Joe at the Cincinnati show and Jacqueline spotted the T-Shirt she had presented to him in Darien Center in mid July.

The shirt features the words "Campbell Tough". This was inspired by the "Kelly Tough" T-Shirt that Sav wore at the Darien show on 12th July which was designed in honour of ex-Buffalo Bills (American football) player Jim Kelly who battled cancer in 2013/2014. A shirt that was also presented to Sav by Jacqueline during the pre show Meet And Greet.

The "Campbell Tough" design was made in support of Vivian Campbell and his ongoing battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma which he was first diagnosed with in March 2013.

Vivian celebrates his 53rd birthday today during a short break from the 2015 world tour.

As mentioned last week the idea for the shirt came from Jacqueline and has been made by Kim of Artdog Designs. The company is now selling the T-Shirts with the approval of Vivian himself. A portion of the profits are being donated to the "American Cancer Society for Hodgkins Lymphoma".

Full details of the shirt and buy options can be found on the Artdog Designs website.

Having mentioned this story to Syracuse based DJ Rick Deyulio of TK99 radio, he then talked about it during his daily show on Friday 21st. You can listen to the audio below which he kindly shared.

Read the full story of the T-Shirt design here as told by Jacqueline herself.

Campbell Tough T-Shirt Story - By Rick Deyulio

"Got a great story to tell you in a just a little bit about Def Leppard playing in Darien Lake and one fan getting to meet them."

"And Def Leppard by the way, when they played Darien Lake earlier this summer. Rick Savage, bass player, came out wearing a Kelly Tough T-Shirt in honour of Jim Kelly who's been suffering from cancer for a while and is now finally recovered. Now one fan had a Meet and Greet pass and so she wanted to create something. Her name was Jacqueline, Jacqueline Koszuta Sandel. She created a Campbell Tough T-Shirt referring to Def Leppard's guitar player Vivian Campbell who's also been battling cancer. And she created this shirt. She got to meet Joe Elliott from Def Leppard. She brought it backstage at Darien Lake and gave him one of the shirts. So it's a pretty cool thing that Jim Kelly influenced this idea of now Campbell Tough T-Shirts as well. So that's very cool and I gotta give a shout out to the ladies in Buffalo for doing that."
