Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell celebrates his 53rd birthday today on a break from the 2015 world tour.
Vivian joined the band in February 1992 following auditions at Mates Studios in Burbank, CA.
This year marked 23 years since he joined the band. He was publicly unveiled at the Freddie Mercury Tribute concert at Wembley Stadium in London on 20th April 1992.
Vivian was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in March 2013 but has continued to perform with the band throughout 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Vivian is currently undergoing Immunotherapy treatment which he explained in a Facebook post at the end of June.
Vivian had to sit out the first four shows of the current US leg but was able to rejoin the tour in Atlanta, GA on 28th June. His new treatments allow him to continue performing. Initially he was to undergo more chemotherapy and potentially miss most of the US hows but this new alternative treatment means he will not miss any more shows in 2015.
A few photos of Vivian looking "happy and healthy" on stage at recent shows can be seen below.
