Also on this day in 1987 the band performed 'Animal' on UK TV show Top Of The Pops. Their first ever broadcast appearance on the show which helped to make the song their first Top 10 single when it reached Number 6.
On the same day the Hysteria album was at Number One in the US Billboard Top 200 chart for a third week.
