The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Well the bags are packed and I'm ready to go. I am gonna be leaving on a jet plane of course. But not just yet folks because we have a show to do. Hello. Good evening and welcome to the Joe Elliott show right here on Planet Rock. I'm heading off to Montreal in a couple of days time for the start of the 2015 Def Leppard world tour. Until then though how about we get into a bit of rock and roll fantasy with Bad Company."

Bad Company

"In 1980 on Def Leppard's first tour of America one of the few cassettes that we had for the entire tour. So yes it did get played a lot, was that album. That album is Desolation Angels. The band Bad Company and the song we just heard Rock N Roll Fantasy."

Show Outro

"Putting in a wonderfully Jagger-esque performance there. Great work from Mr. Alice Cooper from his album Welcome To My Nightmare II which was the follow up to the Welcome To My Nightmare but what 30 years on I think a song called I'll Bite Your Face Off. And before that from the kings of oblivion. A band I really admired when I was a kid because they used to do so many free gigs I don't know how they even paid their rent. The band were the Pink Fairies and the song that we heard that was once covered by Motorhead a track called City Kids."

"And that my friends is about it for this week, been a pleasure as always. I've gotta go and put the last few bits in my bag. Pull the zips round, get them in the car and head off to Canada. I shall be back with you next week from Montreal. Until then I'm gonna leave you with this great bit of work from one of Australia's finest ever singers Mr. Jimmy Barnes when he used to front a band called Cold Chisel. Until next week this is You Got Nothing I Want. See ya!."
