Def Leppard started their 2015 World Tour last night in Penticton, BC, Canada playing a 17 song setlist.

The show took place at the South Okanagan Events Centre in front of a sold out crowd of around 6,000 fans. Their first ever visit to Penticton which you can see from the Live Blog photos (and Joe's tweet) is quite a scenic location.

Although the band used the kabuki curtain with the triangular Def Leppard logo they did not open the show as they had in 2014 - with The Who live intro. instead Won't Get Fooled Again was played on the PA but was then followed by the Disintegrate intro last heard on 24th November 2003 in Moscow at the final X/Ten tour show and of course currently being used by Joe as his Planet Rock radio show theme music.

After the curtain fell the band launched into Rock! Rock! which had not been played since the VIVA! Hysteria residency in April 2013.

The major (but not really much of a) surprise was the playing of Paper Sun for the first time since August 2000. Or possibly September 2000 but the last known performance was in Allentown, PA on 29th August 2000. Unlike the Euphoria tour Rick did not end the song by bashing the giant gong he used in 1999/2000.

In keeping with the 'Euphoria' theme Promises was played before this. You may recall in April 2014 Joe had mentioned plans for a Deluxe Edition of this album (summer release?).

Rock On was played again without using the bass solo intro but was followed by perhaps THE biggest surprise of the night - Joe playing Two Steps Behind on his own and enlisting (as ever) the crowd as his backing vocalists (see videos for details).

The end of the set was basically the same as 2014 with Let's Get Rocked replacing Armageddon It which as you can see was given a slightly earlier slot.

This show coincided with the 23rd anniversary of Vivian Campbell's first show with the band in 1992.

Rick used the main drum riser seen on recent US/UK tours with two video screens either side of him. The front of the stage and thrust were covered in the floor lights first used on the 2012 Rock Of Ages tour (bought from Phil Collins).

The set up was not unlike the one used at the casino shows in 2014 apart from a much larger lighting rig. See photos and video for more details on the set up.

Relive the show via the Live Setlist/Photo/Videos Updates updated as the show happened last night.

The next show takes place in Victoria, BC on 17th April.
