Def Leppard played the pre game show for the NFL International Series at Wembley Stadium earlier this evening in London, England with a hits medley of 3 songs played.
The band played its first show without Vivian Campbell since he joined them in early 1992.
It was the first of five appearances featuring stand in guitarist Steve Brown of the US band Trixter.
A hits medley of three songs was performed before the sell out crowd of 90,000 fans. Animal, Let's Get Rocked and Pour Some Sugar On Me. Around two minutes of each song was played during the short (just under) 8 minute set. Unfortunately Joe's microphone cut out towards the end of PSSOM leaving him to grab a second mic. Luckily he was able to (kind of) save things.
Once he got a working mic as PSSOM ended he was able to say - "Thank you London. Get well Viv. Get well soon.".
The band played on a small stage located at one side of the pitch in front of the Oakland Raiders logo. The minimal lighting was backed up by a large video screen behind Rick's drumkit and smaller ones either side showing UK flags to match his drum head. Pyrotechnics and cheerleaders were also part of the show and a massive Union Jack with a Def Leppard logo was assembled on the pitch. The large video screens in the stadium gave the fans behind the stage a chance to see them perform. The good weather meant the stadiums retractable roof was open.

Started from "I'm your average, ordinary, everyday kid" line.
First verse/chorus. Then straight into the "Oh, all I wanna do is take a ride into the blue" section.
"Wembley Do you wanna get rocked?" followed by Guitar solo ending after "Oh, c'mon Everybody!"

Started with Rick only right out of LGR. Joe's "Here we go" line started off the song.
First verse/chorus into guitar solo section. The rest of the song played as usual.
Joe's microphone cut out after the "Break It Up" line. He still sang his usual ending lines but was not heard.
Steve Brown played the outro solo part usually played by Vivian. His playing was solid and his backing vocals blended in well with Sav/Phil.
