Pyromania Falls To 199 On Billboard Top 200 Chart

Thursday, 25th September 2014

Pyromania 1983.

Def Leppard's classic album Pyromania has fallen to 199 on the Billboard chart this week.

As mentioned last week the album had re-entered the Billboard Top 200 album chart at 190 a few weeks back.

It rose to 151 before falling to 178 last week.

One reason for the re-entry could be low prices of CDs on Amazon. Pyromania and other older albums close to it on the chart are currently priced at just $5. Since Pyromania is not available digitally its likely these physical sales account for it recent chart run.

Other albums at cheaper prices include Linkin Park and Prince who have albums in the same part of the chart at numbers 193 and 189.

It will probably fall out of the chart next week leaving its current weeks on the chart since its first entry in February 1983 at 121. 'Hysteria' currently stands at 133 weeks on the same chart.

On 8th July 2004 the album was certified 10 times platinum giving the band its second Diamond award (after Hysteria) for 10 million sales in the USA alone.
