Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott recorded his vocals this week for Phil's Delta Deep album.
Joe mentioned the news earlier on his Planet Rock radio show. He said the song in question was a cover from the 70s.
Both Joe and Whitesnake singer David Coverdale were announced as album guests back in March.
David recorded his vocals at the start of October and posted a photo from the studio on twitter.
In April Robert Deleo of Stone Temple Pilots completed his bass parts. Phil has stated the album may be released later in 2014 and they hope to play shows.
The Joe Elliott Show - 18th October 2014 Quote
"I mentioned at the top of the show how I'd been working in the studio this week. I was doing a vocal for Phil actually. Phil Collen has an album coming out called Delta Deep. It's a very, very interesting record. Not what you'd expect at all. But he does a cover of a very famous 70s rock song. I'm not gonna say what it is but I did a - I did a vocal on it for him. He will tell you in his own good time I'm sure."
