On This Day in Def Leppard History - 21st May, the following concerts and events took place. Including the single 'Photograph' reaching number 12 on the Billboard Top 100 chart on this day in 1983.

The first single from the 'Pyromania' album spent 17 weeks on the chart. The first major hit and Top 20 single for the band.

The band have also performed five concerts on this day including the second US show in 1980. This concert in Fresno, CA supporting Pat Travers was the first American performance to be recorded by fans.

Also on this day in 2011 Joe Elliott and Rick Savage appeared on Sky Sports football show Soccer AM during the promotion of the 'Mirrorball' album.
