Bob And Tom Show - Phil Collen Interview Quotes

Summer Tour 2014

"I think that's the plan absolutely. Yeah and you know the idea between the two bands is to actually make it - just you make it so competitive within any other tour out there that it's just gonna be boring after seeing our shows. So that's good. Pulling together both bands is really cool."

"You just take a leaf out of the Stones book. Unfortunately whenever you do any new stuff you wanna play that you just wanna do your new stuff. But the fans always wanna hear the other stuff despite what they say. You know they go oh we wanna hear something different. But they don't you know. Case in point we just done a residency last year in Vegas and we done the Hysteria album in total. And we done all these deep tracks that everyone has always been asking for and it was cool and everything but everyone just really wanted to hear all the kind of hits PSSOM, Love Bites and that. So the Stones what they do they actually carefully place their new songs or songs they want to get over in amongst all the other stuff. You have to do a bit of both you know you really wanna play all your new stuff you just can't."

2015 Studio Album

"Yes absolutely. I'm actually going back to Dublin next week or two weeks time. We're actually gonna - we started - we was just gonna do a couple of songs but it actually turned into 11 songs and for Def Leppard that's like unheard of. So we thought OK we're gonna do an album. So yeah that'll be ready for next year at some point."

"With the Def Leppard stuff I think we're gonna be injecting some of that kinda energy into that as well."
