The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome to Elliott Towers in not so sunny Dublin where the Def Leppard recording and writing session is moving ahead very, very swiftly. Some great stuff coming out of that studio this week, amazing. I'll tell you more about that later on. But good evening everybody you are listening to Planet Rock this is the Joe Elliott show sixty minutes of fantastic music coming up. Starting with the Clash."

Trevor Bolder

"Last Wednesday was the one year anniversary of the passing of the great Trevor Bolder. Bass player for a lifetime with Uriah Heep, he had a little stint with Wishbone Ash but he's possibly more well known for role in David Bowie's Spiders From Mars from 1971 to 1973. I wanted to find a track that really showed off his playing. I think this one does him real justice."

"And before that from the 1973 David Bowie album Aladdin Sane we heard the title track featuring some fantastic piano playing from Mr. Mike Garson but I played it because it's one year last Wednesday since the passing of the bass player on that record. Some phenomenal playing on that song by one Trevor Bolder."

Show Outro

"Which brings us to the end of this particular show. I shall be back with you next week at the same time. Until then I'm gonna leave you with this classic from Queen. Stay safe out there especially if you are travelling on the Seven Seas...of Rhye. Until next week see ya!."
