The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome to the Joe Elliott show coming to you this week for the last time from Joe's Garage for a little while because the mighty Leps are off on tour and I'm off to LA for a bit of rehearsal. And I'm feeling rather melancholy because I'm leaving home for such a long time, locking up the basement, saying goodbye to the cat but it's equally as exciting to get out on the road and play in front of what's gonna be a lot of people this summer. Sixty minutes of fantastic music coming right up for ya. Let's make a little bit of magic shall we with Pat Travers."

Rik Mayall

"If like me you grew up with Bottom, The Young Ones, The New Statesman, Blackadder and of course The Comic Strip you'd have been very saddened to hear this week's news that Rik Mayall passed away earlier this week at the age of 56. Unbelievable he had decades left in him but he did leave behind a fantastic body of work. And that is just part of what he did as the classic bass player Colin Grigson in Bad News. That is Bad News with the Warriors Of Genghis Khan."

Show Outro

"And that brings this show - the last one from Joe's Garage for a little while - to an end folks. Been a pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next week at the same time but from Los Angeles getting ready for the Def Leppard/KISS tour of the USA. Until then let's leave you in the Lap Of Luxury with Cheap Trick for they Never Had A Lot To Lose. Until next week see ya!."
