Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen was interviewed on 9th July by Mark Mayfield of 100.7 KSLX radio and the full audio is available.

Phil talked about the Summer Tour 2014 with KISS, Vivian's health, KISS's stage gear, the 2015 studio album, the setlist, the possible second Las Vegas residency, the Delta Deep album, Richie Blackmore, songs he wish he'd written (The Police - Every Breath You Take).

During the interview Phil talked about Vivian's current health issues and recent problems on the day of the Los Angeles show. Vivian suffered a reaction from his chemo treatment the day before which caused 'Rocket' to be cut from the next two shows and the set shortened. Luckily he now has two full days rest before the Austin, TX show. Phil also spoke to Red Carpet Crash about Vivian.

Mark Mayfield - Phil Collen Interview Quotes

"It's been great. Yesterday was a bit of a difficult one. Vivian you know has been going through chemo. He had to have some more cancer treatment. Yesterday he'd just had a long bout the day before. A day off for the chemo thing - he went on stage but yeah we'll just have to see. He's coming later on. The KISS guys have a plane they've graciously said you know if you guys ever want to come on the plane it'll be totally cool. Joe, Viv and Rick are in LA still."

"And we have to see how Vivian's doing he's just actually had a bit of bad news. You know his cancer's back and he's been doing some very extreme, harsh chemo treatment. You know we played LA the other day and after he'd done hours and hours of chemo so he really wasn't very well so you know we'll have to cross our fingers on all that. Yeah, fingers crossed we'll see."
