Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell has started recording the demos for his upcoming solo album today in California.
Vivian had been scheduled to start work on his new solo songs on 16th December before the TV appearance on The Voice conflicted with his plans.
He is working with bassist Lou Castro and drummer Glen Sobel from his cover band Sir Sodoff And The Trainwrecks. The last update on the album plans was in September before his announcement of being in remission from Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Vivian first mentioned in January that the album would be a "guitar driven hard rock record" and recording would start in late summer. He then updated fans about the album again in May.

"In studio tomorrow for re-scheduled session to cut tracks for a solo record. Recording with Lou Castro on bass and Glen Sobel on drums. I'll be the guitar player, but then you probably guessed that, right?"
