The KQ Morning Show - Vivian Campbell Interview Quotes

What happened with Slang?

"Well very little actually which is why we're re-releasing it. Well it's like cause you just said - the mid 90s it was full on grunge and Def Leppard were perceived as just being an 80s band. Even though the Slang record is very, very different for us. I mean musically it fit right into the times you know. We kind of made a record to suit the times and literally a lot of stations you know the programme directors they got the record they listened to it and they said this is brilliant it would totally fit our format but we just can't play anything by Def Leppard regardless. So it had a really hard time getting to people's ears so you know we'd like to have people hear it again perhaps a little bit more objectively this time."
