The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Alright music lovers and welcome to Scranton. Sounds like it should be in Yorkshire don't it?. Well it isn't actually. It's Scranton, Pennsylvania. Welcome everyone it's the Joe Elliott show right here on the very wonderful Planet Rock. Touring the USA with KISS. Def Leppard are and last week it was all about the fact that I introduced them on stage and of course never one to shy away from a challenge. Mr. Phil Collen went on stage with KISS in full regalia. In forty years of being a band he's only the second person to ever do that with them. The other guy being Joe Perry from Aerosmith. So in honour of Phil being the fifth member of KISS, albeit for seven or eight minutes. I'm gonna play the song that he played with them. This is KISS."

KISS

"He is indeed worth a Deuce. That is KISS from the Sonic Boom sessions of a few years ago with a re-record of the song that originally featured on their 1974 debut album. And I played that in honour of the fact that Phil Collen was only the second person ever in forty years to get up and play on stage with KISS. In full regalia as well. Incredible. Check it out. It's on youtube. It's actually quite cool."

Show Outro

"From the back catalogue of one of the best bans to ever come out of the UK. I am of course talking about The Move from the album Movements that is the most brilliant Beautiful Daughter. And before that all the way from Australia we heard Jet from the album Get Born with Are You Gonna Be My Girl. And that my friends all the way from Scranton, Pennsylvania is it for this week. I shall be back with you next week at the same time from Chicago, Illinois. So until then I'm gonna leave you with three minutes of brilliant music from an album called Revolver from a band who were an enormous influence on The Move. This of course is The Beatles and Tomorrow Never Knows. Until next week see ya!."
