Def Leppard performed Pour Some Sugar On Me on Tops Of The Pops in 1987 and the performance was repeated on BBC Four last night.
The playback performance from 16th September 1987 was featured as part of the Big In America: British Hits In The USA show.
This was first shown in February 2012 and featured archive clips from Top Of The Pop's and other UK shows. The song was a hit in 1988 in the US but this performance dates from 16th September 1987 and was shot in the midst of their sold-out UK tour. The single, released two days earlier on the 14th, went on to reach number 18 in the charts.
