Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen was interviewed by 95.7 KJR radio yesterday and the full audio is available.
Phil spoke to DJ Bob Rivers about both Manraze and Def Leppard.
Phil talks about not being Phil "Collins", his workout routine/health, his tattoo, Manraze's musical style/influences, the VIVA! Is there a Def Leppard tour on the calendar? And is there a Manraze tour on the calendar? You can do both right?
"Absolutely. And we will. I'm actually just recovering from a tendon injury. My tendon actually slid off the bone. I was actually getting in a boxing ring. This was earlier on this year in June and I just got under the ropes. Put my hand on the floor, my fist on the floor just to push myself up and I heard a squelch and it was the tendon slipping of the bone. It was so easy how it happened. It didn't freak me out and then I limped through the tour. The Def Leppard summer tour. And literally had to have an operation where they sow the tendon back on the bone."
"So I can't really play guitar yet until January and I actually go back in the studio with Manraze and then February we start new Def Leppard material so I'm doing physical therapy everyday up until then so."
