Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott has been interviewed by Louder Than War about his love of Mott The Hoople.
Joe talked to them about how he first discovered the band as a teenager and what their music means to him.
Joe recently sang at four out of five shows on the band's 2013 UK Tour (quite possibly their last).

"The first time I heard Mott the Hoople was on radio Luxembourg in 1971 when Downtown was on all time. I was transfixed. It was the single of the week and they played it every hour on the hour. It was nothing like anything I had heard before and I was instantly a total fan."
