The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Evening everybody and welcome to The Joe Elliott show on Planet Rock at the end of the most extraordinary week I think I've ever experienced. Transatlantic travel, jetlag, shorthop flights in and out of Ireland to see Mott The Hoople. Pints of Guinness in Dublin behind closed doors with Robert Plant. Fantastic character, bad food, more jetlag. What more could you want it's rock 'n' roll everyone. This is Cheap Trick."

Show outro/Mott The Hoople Tour

"Yes. I did only choose that particular song because of the immortal line down in the city just a Hoople and me. Brian May wrote it but I'm actually living it this week. I've been to two already. I shall be at a third one tonight and then there's Manchester and London to follow this weekend. Mott The Hoople my favourite ever band followed pretty closely by Queen I would imagine from their album Sheer Heart Attack that was Queen and Now I'm Here."

"Which brings us to the end of this week's show. New castle is the center of my universe for obvious reasons today so I'm gonna end the show classically and appropriately. Dedicated to all the Mott The Hoople fans that I've seen in the bar especially in Glasgow. You guys were hilarious. And to answer the eternal question yes Down 'N' Outz album is nearly finished. I will fill you in as I get more information. But until next week I'm gonna leave you with this who else but Geordie. For all you Geordie boys and girls that are gonna be there tonight I leave you with All Because Of You. Until next week see ya!"
