Def Leppard started their 2013 VIVA Hysteria! residency last night at The Joint in Las Vegas, NV with 24 songs played in a lengthy setlist.
The show included some ultra rare songs and others that haven't been played in the USA for a long time.
Below is a breakdown of the songs played with some extra info about the show which featured a spectacular stage.

Ded Flatbird opening set
The band played 10 songs as their own opening act with a joke name. This was written on the head of Rick's bass drum. The stage was set up as it would be for any opener with a Union Jack curtain hiding the main stage. The same thrust stage from 2012 was used and the amps/equipment used for this set were cleared away during the short intermission. A red curtain covering the stage at the start was closed again during the intermission/changeover (see blog pics).
- 01 - Won't Get Fooled Again/Good Morning Freedom
Unplayed since 1980. The last known/confirmed time was 13th April 1980/basically not since the first UK headline tour - a while ago!. 33 years and Def Leppard are still in their 35th year as a band. A 50 second snippet of a song by The Who was played just before GMF kicked in. Same song used as the PA intro music on the 2012 tour.

Only played once this way before in the USA in Las Vegas, NV at the same venue on 4th October 2003.

Last played in the USA on 17th November 2006 in New Orleans, LA.
- 09 - Bringin' On The Heartbreak
- 10 - Switch 625 (Instrumental)
10-15 minute intermission where band interviews/footage was shown. Also played was the 1993 'Switch 625' Steve Clark tribute video from 'Visualize'. At the end Phil appeared on a platform that rose up and moved down as he played the opening of 'Women'. At the same time the black curtains displayed 'Hysteria' album art before dropping to reveal the full VIVA Hysteria! stage/video screens.
