Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott was interviewed by the Bob and Coe show on 101 KGB FM radio yesterday and spoke about VIVA Hysteria! and the Down 'N' Outz.

Joe said that the second Down 'N' Outz album will be released on 6th October to coincide with the anniversary of their first show in 2009.

The band supported Mott The Hoople at Hammersmith Odeon on that date in 2009 as part of their reunion. A live DVD of the concert was released in May 2011. The first album 'My ReGeneration' was released in July 2010.

Joe spoke about a few other things during the show summed up below by Cindy.

Indidentally the station (which doesn't stream outside the US!) was the one that sponsored the 1983 Jack Murphy Stadium show at the end of the US Pyromania tour.

101 KGB-FM Radio - 1st March Interview Details

"The next (2nd) Down N Outz album is planned for release on 6 October 2013 to coincide with the anniversary of when the DNO first played live together. Joe said he has most of the 3rd DNO album already written. (CJ Note: the 2nd album is to be covers like the 1st was. The 3rd album is planned to be new songs.)"

"Said DL will be "our own opening act" with "Hysteria" played in album order after an opening set. Said that they won't be opening it up for fans to submit requests for the first set partially due to David Bowie having a really bad experience when he did that."

"Said he is in Northern California and that they came over about 2 weeks ago to get acclimatized before Vegas."

"He talked a bit about the Rock N Roll Fantasy camp saying that they would participate individually as work schedules allowed (i.e., he might do one day and other band members would each do another day.)"

"Talked about the PSSOM video contest. Said there will be some filtering of what is submitted so as to not put up anything offensive and asked that submissions be family-friendly."

Many thanks to Cindy Johnston.
