Def Leppard members Rick Allen, Rick Savage and Joe Elliott were interviewed in Tokyo during the 1984 Pyromania tour and the audio is available.
Journalist Steve Harris interviewed the band at the Keio Plaza Hotel in Tokyo on 21st January 1984.
The band went on to play three shows in the country. Two in Tokyo (24th/26th) and one in Osaka on the 25th January.
During the 42 minute interview they talk about the 1983 tour, supporting Billy Squier/becoming headliners, videos/MTV, music press, success of the Pyromania album, early days, differences between England and America, first musical influences, fitness on tour, football/golf/tennis/drinking. The interview contains some amusing moments including Joe talking to Rick in the background about a Bay City Rollers LP and Sav referring to the "boiler situation" in local clubs (don't ask!).
