Indeed the band also formed 35 years ago as of September 2012. Steve was the fifth member to join Def Leppard following founder members Rick Savage, Pete Willis, Tony Kenning and Joe Elliott. Steve helped them define their sound as a twin guitar band.
Also on this day in 1984 the band played their first ever show in Australia at the Narara Music Festival in Somersby (near Sydney).
