Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen has been interviewed by Sound Diego about his recent charity guitar auction for the Gerson Institute.
Phil talks about why he got involved in the auction and the designing of the 'Wings' guitar. As mentioned by Phil on facebook last month he will perform a small acoustic show on 15th November at the Gerson Insitute and present them with the $20,000 made from the auction.

"Cancer is such a common disease these days, [but] I was amazed, actually, at the number of people that came forward with their stories. It started with a tragic kind of thing but has turned into a very inspired, positive outcome. A guy named Murray Bolton from New Zealand ended up [winning the bid] with the guitar and came out to [California] and went to Disneyland with his grandchildren and then they all came by the house a couple of weeks ago: pretty rad."
