Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott is touring South America soon with a new supergroup called Titans Of Rock led by KISS bassist Gene Simmons.
The South American press have been reporting that Gene Simmons has formed the group (band members listed below) and a tour of South American countries will happen in late April/early May.
This news has been met with some surprise and scepticism (which is why it wasn't mentioned sooner) but now Vivian Campbell has confirmed Joe is indeed taking part. Vivian initially indicated fans should not take it seriously but has today said Joe will be involved and stated his own surprise. I'm sure his use of the dollar sign for an S is purely a typo. These will be Joe's first performances in Peru, Paraguay, Chile and Costa Rica. He previously played the other countries with Lep in April 1997.
Guitarist Steve Stevens and singer Glenn Hughes are the only names involved who have talked about it and confirmed their own involvement with Glenn saying 'a big announcement is coming'. Gene Simmons' Latin American site lists five of these dates (listed with venues below) and says they are to promote his new 'Monster' bass which is also the name of the upcoming KISS studio album.
