The Joe Elliott Show - Quote

David Bowie

"So the story goes that one of the BBC cameramen, who was the guy that invented the fisheye effect that they used to use on Top Of The Pops back in the mid-70s all the time, on this particular episode took the tapes home and there they just sat in his attic for 38 years or the best part of doing absolutely nothing except gathering dust. He finally discovered them again and gave them back to the BBC and lo and behold what did we have but a live LIVE version of David Bowie and The Spiders From Mars doing Jean Genie. That has never been seen or heard since 1973 and now its back out there, it was on last years Christmas Top Of The Pops special and its now out on vinyl as the B Side of the original single Jean Genie. So if you're a Bowie fan try and hunt that down there won't be many copies left I can guarantee that."
