On This Day in Def Leppard History - 29th April, the following concerts and events took place. Including the US release of the 'Songs From The Sparkle Lounge' album in 2008. The album reached number 5 in the US Billboard Top 200 album chart on 17th May and stayed on the chart for 8 weeks.
Also on this day in 1983 the band started their first US headline tour in support of 'Pyromania' in Odessa, Texas.
The show at Ector County Coliseum was the first ever headline show in North America. It was also the only known time the band played the song 'Action! Not Words' live. It was replace on the rest of the tour by 'Foolin''.
